We Did It!

On September 26th, 2009, more than 150 members of our community came together to erect a playground for our youth. Located directly north of the terrific new gazebo, this newly developed park will provide entertainment and exercise opportunities for all of our citizens. Beginning very early in the morning, young and old worked toward the common goal of trying to finish the project before the end of the day. Spurred on by Mr. Koolaid and nourished by burgers and hot dogs, we were successful!

After stirring speeches by Mayor Ric McGee, MP Barry Devolin, MPP Rick Johnson, and Lions Club President Dave Wilson, Lion Andrew Veale, on behalf of the Woodville Lions Club, officially unveiled a plaque honouring a very special former resident of the village. The park, in perpetuity, will be known as "The Mary Cronin Memorial Park". A fitting tribute to a wonderful, community minded person!
